The Center provides funds to support two dissertation and two thesis awards on an annual basis for College of Education students at MU. The awards are meant to promote, support, and honor outstanding and noteworthy research in general multicultural issues (e.g., competency, training, and/or education) or specifically related to issues of race, gender, sexual identity, and/or social class of particular populations, especially the intersection of these factors. The award is consistent with the Center’s long-term training goals to promote/prepare graduate students to become multiculturally competent professionals. Awards will be $250 for thesis grants and $250 for dissertation grants. Institutional IRB approval is required prior to receipt of the award.
